RENT THE RUNWAY – RETURNS POLICY

Rental items:

Rental items are due for return on the last day of the booking. For details on rentals, please read our terms & conditions.

Purchase items:

For items purchased on our website, we offer 14 DAY RETURNS.

Returns Period: Returns or exchanges will only be accepted with proof of purchase on items within 14 days from the date of delivery for Australian customers and 21 days for international customers. Items returned outside this period will not be accepted. Change of mind return requests for SALE items do not qualify for a refund, unless item is faulty. However, items can be either exchanged or returned for a store credit/ an e-voucher gift card, excluding cost of shipping..

We will gladly accept returns on all purchase items. Items must be in original and in saleable condition. The garment/s must not have been worn, altered or washed. Any marks (i.e. dirty, makeup marks, fake tan or any other markings or stains) cannot be returned. Garments that have a strong odour of perfume/washing powder or other smells will not be accepted back. We recommend trying on all purchased items as soon as they are received, to ensure adequate time to return items within our returns timeframe.

HOW TO RETURN AN ITEM

Rental items:

Rentals can be returned in person or via post.

In person: If you collected a dress at our shop, please return to our shop.

Mail: Your rental item is due for return on the last day of your booking. We recommend sending return parcels via express post with tracking as we are not liable if your return is not received at our address. If you choose to mail your item back to us, please send us the tracking number and ensure the item will be received on the last day of your booking, to avoid late fees.

If your parcel goes missing you will be required to provide two pieces of documentation; a proof of delivery at our registered address and a scanned image of the signature obtained upon delivery. If you cannot provide this information, Rent The Runway AU will not be held accountable for any losses.

Purchase items:

For all purchase item returns, please either use a courier company of your choice or mail the item back to us. The cost of the return is at the customer’s expense, we do not offer free returns.

You may also choose to return an item in person at our shop.

Courier: For returns sent by courier, please use a reputable courier company such as DHL and return your items to the address below.

Mail: We recommend sending return parcels via registered post/express post with tracking as we are not liable if your return is not received at our address.
